We’re adding another accessory to our resin 3D printing setup: the ELEGOO Mini Air Purifier with an activated carbon filter. In this quick MakerBuildIt unboxing, we open the two-pack, take a look at the contents, and switch on one of the units.
If you want to see what assembly involves before getting started, the video below walks through the basics in about a minute.

What came in our box?
The package shown in the video includes two purifier units, carbon filter inserts, instructions, and charging accessories. One detail stood out: although it was a two-pack, our box included only one USB charging cable.
That is what we received in this unboxing, so check the contents of your own package against its included instructions.
Getting the purifier ready
- Open the cover. This gives you access to the carbon filter inside the unit.
- Prepare the carbon insert. In our demonstration, the insert has already been unpacked. We place it in the purifier and put the cover back on.
- Press the front switch. Once the cover is back in place, we use the small switch on the front to turn the purifier on.
- Check that the fan starts. You can hear it running in the video as the unit switches on.
What does the carbon filter do?
ELEGOO describes the Mini Air Purifier as using a battery-powered motor to move air through activated carbon to reduce resin odor during printing.
Our first look covers the hardware, assembly, and startup. It does not include an odor comparison or measured air-quality results, so the video gives you a look at setup rather than a performance verdict.
